Tips for Your First Photo Session
Your first professional photo session can be exciting and, at the same time, a bit intimidating. To help you look amazing and feel confident, here we share some key tips.
Before the session
Skin preparation
Start taking care of your skin at least a week before. Daily hydration, good cleansing and getting enough rest are essential to achieve fresh, radiant skin.
Hair
Wash your hair the night before so it has a natural look. Avoid using heavy products that may leave visible residue or weigh down the hair.
Clothing
Although wardrobe is usually provided, always bring seamless, nude-colored underwear. It's an essential basic for any model.
During the session
Communication
Don't be afraid to ask questions. Professional photographers value when the model gets involved and actively participates in the creative process.
Posture
Maintain an upright but natural posture. Practice different poses in front of the mirror to identify your best angles.
Expressions
Vary your facial expressions: an intense gaze, a subtle smile or an elegant attitude. Each expression can tell a different story.
After the session
If possible, ask to see some photographs and ask the photographer what worked best. Each session is an opportunity to learn and grow professionally.
